Famous Players Bramalea Cinemas was one of the first movie theaters constructed in Brampton. Much like Centennial Brampton and the very brief theater in Shoppers World Brampton that were eventually shutdown, it had 3 theaters in the basement of the Bramalea City Center and was current until the late-1980’s when Gateway 6 was constructed.

I’ve been trying to locate anything on the cinema and most of this is by memory alone.

The theater entrance was located directly across from Clark Blvd Public School in the covered parking.

I seem to remember that the Bramalea only had 3 screens, wasn’t aware that they expanded to 4. It had only 3 when I used to go there. Square One had 4.

Never expanded to 4 screens. Mike Wells was the first manager.

According to various sources, the “guts” of this theater are still there. The theater was gutted, but the space still exists behind the stores (Dollarama, PJ’s Pets) that exist in the hallway by that entrance.
