The Minerva Cinema had a slightly fortified look with a chunky protruding canopy and a generous supply of 16 tall windows over two floors. The top ones were tapered and only the straight sided parts were double glazed. The Minerva Cinema was open between 1918 and 1985, and photographed in October, 1981
