According to the Minneapolis directories, the theater opened as the Glenwood Theatre. Then the name changed to the Glenwood Palace Theatre in 1916. The Theater remained as the Glenwood Palace Theatre until 1930. Then from 1931 through 1935 it was named the Glenwood Theatre again.
