Located at the corner of Egerton Street & Cawdor Street in the Moses Gate district of Farnworth, to the south of Bolton, Lancashire. The Hippodrome Cinema was opened around 1914, operated by Rhodes Picture Houses Ltd. It had a 26 feet wide proscenium. It was equipped with a British Thomson-Houston(BTH) sound system in 1930. In 1932 it was operated by the J.F. Emery Circuit, but just for one year. By 1944 it was operated by the W.J. Speakman Circuit.

The Hippodrome Cinema was closed around 1964.
