Another aerial angle on the cinema (13 Aug 1949) shows more of the side of the cinema.

There appears to have been a sizeable stage and the 1930’s rebuild clearly made use of part of the 1913 wall with its panels and (just discernible) lettering “Heeley Coliseum”.

There’s also a vertical sign on the corner of the building declaring “Saloon & Pit”; which suggests a separate entrance at the stage/screen end for patrons of the cheaper seats.
