The Drive-In was opened on June 15, 1949. By 1955 it was operated by Frank Rubel & Central States Theatres and had been renamed Clinton Drive-In. It was closed on September 1, 1991.

When this drive-in first opened in 1950 it was just called simply the Drive-In. The Clinton wasn’t attached until 1954.

The Clinton Herald published a long article on the Clinton Drive-In on April 11, 2014. It said that the drive-in opened June 15, 1949 and closed Sept. 1, 1991.
