Liberty Theatre

The Liberty Theatre was listed as open in the mid-1920’s. The theatre seated 275. It closed on September 12, 1937 with Madeleine Carroll in “All is Yours”. Five days later the new Williams Theatre was opened. The Liberty Theatre has since been demolished.

Map marker is way too far east. This must have been within one block either side of the courthouse. There are no theaters at all on the 1913 map, but Main was then called Cedar, which may help if an old address turns up.

Closed on September 12, 1937 with “It’s All Yours” along with a sportreel, in connection to the opening of the Williams Theatre five days later.
