The Pastime Theatre was opened in 1933, and was listed in the Film Daily Yearbook editions 1933 & 1934. It is not listed in the 1935 edition. It is possible that it was renamed Avalon Theatre, as that is first listed in the 1935 Film Daily Yearbook, also with 300 seats and located on North Pendleton Street?

The “Theater Changes” section of the January 30, 1933, issue of The Film Daily listed the Pastime Theatre in Easley, South Carolina, as a new theater.
