When you look at the AC photo and the Post Card posted by Don Lewis the Dust Bowl and Eloy appear to be the same theatre. The theatre was part of the Long Theatre chain.

Should there be an aka name of Dustbowl Theater or was the Dustbowl Theater a different theater?

Listed as the Dustbowl in the 1963 IMPA. Operator was Louis F. Long Enterprises.

The Eloy Theatre is listed in the 1941 and 1943 editions of Film Daily Yearbook with a seating capacity of 300. It is the only theatre in town.

However, listed in the 1950 edition of F.D.Y. is the Dust Bowl Theatre with 675 seats and the Eloy Theatre with 400 seats.

Yes, this is the Dustbowl theatre. Eloy only had one theatre besides the “Y” drive in.

Was this theater also known as the Dustbowl Theater or was that another theater in Eloy? Here is an April 12, 2007 article that mentions the Dustbowl Theater.
