Located in a still operating shopping center, the original name of this now closed five-screen complex was Delaware Square Movies, incorporating the name of the commercial retail establishment. The first showtimes listing in the Columbus Dispatch was on Wednesday, February 4, 1987. By December 1, 2006, the theaters were renamed Hollywood Studio Theatres Movies 5. On May 2, 2008, the theaters were ordered closed by City of Delaware Planning and Community Development department because of code violations.
