Located in the south Leicester district of Knighton, at the corner of Welford Road and Keble Road. The Knighton Kinema was opened on December 8, 1933 with Jessie Matthews in “The Good Companions”. It was operated by George Scarborough. Designed by architectural firm Riley & Riley, it had 1,200-seats with 900-seats in the stalls and 300-seats in the circle. It was equipped with a Western Electric(WE) sound system. It had a free car park which had a 150-car capacity. It was later taken over by the Evington Cinema Circuit.

The Knighton Cinema was closed in November 1963 with George Moon in “A Breath of Life”. It was demolished in May 1964 and offices and shops were built in a building named Keble House.
