High Green Cinema

The High Green Picture Palace was opened 29th January 1914 with 500 seats. A Western Electric(WE) sound system was installed in 1930, and was replaced in 1934 by British Thomson Houston(BTH) sound equipment. The screen was 10½ ft. by 8 ft. The proscenium width was 22 ft. The High Green Cinema was closed on 5th October 1957.

It is now a factory/warehouse for a firm of carton manufacturers.
