Kalgoorlie Drive-In

The Twin City Drive-In opened on 5th December 1962 with Australian news “Assignment South Pacific”, Movie stunt pilot, a Tom and Jerry cartoon “Landing Stripling”, a Disney cartoon “Clock Cleaners”, and the film “Carousel”. The main entrance and exit were on Thurmott Street, and an emergency exit on Cotter Street. The screen was at the Eureka Street end of the site. The name was changed to Kalgoorlie Drive-In (in 1984?). The Kalgoorlie Drive-In closed on 26th April 1986 with “Cocoon” and The Gods Must be Crazy".

The site has been(completly?) demolished, and is now a housing estate.
