Starline Drive-In

Located on Carrington Street at the southwest corner of Jeffery Street. The Starline Drive-In opened on 18th November 1960 with “Peyton Place”. The drive-in closed in 1988 and sold for 1 million dollars (Australian), and is now a housing estate.

350 cars(1960 to 1964), 390 cars(1965 to 1970’s), 490 cars(early 1980’s to 1988) and 100 seats.

Exhibitor was Starline Drive in Theatre Co P/L(1960 to 1970’s), Ace Theatres P/L, Hoyts. Architect was William and Garry Leighton.
