The Royal opened in 1927 with 2700 seats. The name was changed to The Three Arts Theater when it no longer was a movie house, and transitioned to live performances. It was demolished in 2003.

The owner of the Royal was one R.E. Martin, who had quite a few theaters in the area, according to this lawsuit:
