The Princess Theatre opened on 31st October 1923. The Princess Theatre was closed in 1937 and used as a dance hall until demolished in(1937,1938, or 1939).
The Mayfair Theatre opened on the site on 4th August 1939 with “Flight to Fame”, and “3 Smart Girls Grow Up” starring Deanna Durbin. The Mayfair Theatre closed on 21st October 1967 with “Transatlantic”, and “What’s New Pussycat?”. The Mayfair Theatre was demolished around 1969. The site is now the Commonwealth Bank.
