I was there about 3 years ago when they had some sort of art exhibit and very old movies projected in the original auditorium. Remnants of the silent ‘screen’ were still there!

The original Franklin was located at 1307 E. Franklin Ave. The aobve Franklin Theatre opened in 1914 and closed as a movie theatre in 1980. Went through many operators over the years, Franklin Amusement, Associated Amusement Co. and Frank & Woempner amusement Co. Seating was listed at 860.
