Geraldton Town Hall

The Geraldton Town Hall was built and opened in 1908. The first pictures in the Town Hall were July 1908. Different film companies screened in the Town Hall until 1915. Soliders Pictures began at the Town Hall in October 1919, but moved almost immediately to the King’s Hall. Pictures were shown again from 1951/2 to 1961/2. In the 1950’s, the Town Hall held around 650. Screenings in the Town Hall ceased when the third drive-in opened. The old Town Hall is now an Art Gallery.
