“This was the first real ‘paying’ gig for my band The Web. It was an all ages show (mostly kids), at the Mercury Theater in Elmwood Park. Summer of ‘68. We also played a battle of the bands that summer outside a mall, I think at Thatcher & Belmont. Those two gigs pretty much got me hooked forever. Still rockin’ 50 years later.”
