Bay View Theatre

Mandogalup Hall was constructed(and opened?) in 1920 at the North-west corner of Mandogalup Road and Anketell Road. Mandogalup Hall closed and moved to Safety Bay in(1929 or early or mid 1930’s?), and renamed Safety Bay Hall. The site of Mandogalup Hall is now Mandogalup Pioneer Reserve. Safety Bay Hall(and general store, and tearooms, and the first Safety Bay school(in the supper room)) opened in 1939. Renamed Bay View Theatre in(1940’s?). Bay View Theatre closed in 1962. Bay View(Safety Bay Hall) moved(date unknown?) to South-west corner of Watts Road and McLarty Road) and renamed McLarty Hall. Site at North-west corner of Safety Bay Road and Penguin Road became a service station(BP?), and is now Bayside Shopping Centre.
