North Fremantle Town Hall

North Fremantle Town Hall opened on 11th November 1896. Films were first screened there in(1906?). Arcadia Pictures opened in September 1936. The name reverted to North Fremantle Pictures in 1952, and closed in 1961

The North Fremantle Town Hall was then used by a local ballet group, then by the North Fremantle Town Council, until it merged with the City of Fremantle council, and sold to a antique company, which completely renovated the premises. In 1995, the Town Hall was put on the market. The Town Hall became an art gallery(?) The Town Hall is now Matilda’s Antique Centre.
