This was Cineplex Odeon’s only theatre in the Phoenix area. It flopped due to its poor location and smaller screens than the nearby Harkins theatres. Opened July 26 1991. It was taken over by AMC on April 22, 1994 and was closed July 21, 1994. There was also an IMAX theatre in the building belonging to IMAX corp.

THis was taken over by AMC and renamed Sportsplex on April 22nd, 1994 and closed for construction for a new megaplex (never built) on July 21st, 1994 making this the shortest lived AMC location.
