Eagle Theatre

Opened prior to April 1928 as the 165-seat Paramount Theater. By 1935 it was the 164-seat Eagle Theatre. Listed as a portable theatre seating 164 in the Film Daily Yearbooks of 1941 thru 1943. It was closed in September 1963.

A note in the Feb. 12, 1949 issue of Boxoffice said that the guy who ran the Eagle had more than one theater back then. “John Greve, Eagle, Colo., exhibitor, was on Filmrow for the first time in several months. His son, Lloyd, is doing most of the work of operating the theatres.”

Boxoffice, Sept. 2, 1963: “Lloyd Greve is closing his Eagle Theatre in Eagle”

Boxoffice, Sept. 23, 1963: “Lloyd Greve is opening an electrical appliance business in what was formerly the Eagle Theatre in Eagle, Colo.”
