Regal Cinema

In Ince-in-Makerfield, a residential suburb of the Metropolitan Borough of Wigan, the Regal Cinema opened, in Bryn Street, off Manley Street, on 5th October 1938. It was owned by Tom Atherton.

The Regal Cinema closed on 28th February 1959 with “No Time for Sergeants”, starring Andy Griffith.

By the time I visited, in April 2001, the building was in light industrial use, by Hi-Bond Ltd, which use continues to date (November 2015).
