Listed as seating 200 in the Film Daily Yearbook of 1950. The Climax Amusement Hall was still open in 1957.

Climax was a company town servicing the Climax Mine and is now a ghost town. Virtually no structures remain except for the mine itself which actually reopened in 2012. Many of the buildings were moved to Leadville and other parts (leaving only the mine by 1965). I do not know the fate of this theatre-hopefully someone else will.

At an elevation of around 11,360 feet, Climax was the highest human settlement in the U.S., second highest post office and the highest railroad so I’d assume the theatre surely held some sort of similar record.
