Opened prior to 1932 as the 150-seat Mines Theatre. Listed as the W.E.M. Theatre, a portable theatre seating 250 in the Film Daily Yearbook of 1941. By 1943 it had been renamed Mines Theatre and retained this name until at least 1950. By 1954 it was the W.E.M. Theatre again.
