This photo can also be found on the Golden state Theatre page. When the Carmel Theatre was demolished, many of its seats, with this distinctive Mission Bell aisle standard pattern from American Seating, were brought over to the Golden State (by then long called the State). Today, they form the most obvious–and only generally known–artifacts remaining from the lost Carmel Theatre, and are still in use in the upper section of the Golden State’s balcony, where this photo was taken.
