The Diamond Theater was an early movie theater which was opened prior to 1914. It was operated in the early-1920s by Messrs. Hill and Torrey according to 1921 Polk’s Michigan Business Directory.
1936 reference of a performance by a crystal reader that upset the townspeople. The Diamond Theater was renamed Lake Theater around 1939. It was still open in 1950.
