Located on the north side of Woodward Street between Hunt Street and Ford Street. The Theatre Royal opened in 1897, and possibly closed in(1899?). Unknown if movies ever screened there? The Theatre Royal building may have been transferred to the Christian Aboriginal Parent-directed School, this is located on the east side of Moran Street between Lindsay Street and Sylvester Street, and is classified trust. There may be a Heritage marker there.

I think the Theatre Royal building(before possibly been moved to 85/93 Lindsay Street) may have been on the corner of Woodward Street and Hunt Street where those two heritage markers are(next to a house)!
