Located in the city centre. The Victoria Theatre was screening short silent films by 1903. Initially the projector was located in the centre of the orchestra level of seating, surrounded by an asbestos covering. In 1915 it began screening feature films in the afternoons.

In 1924 it was taken over by the Ufa chain and it was renovated and renamed Ufa-Palast. The cinema was totally destroyed by the Allied firebomb attacks which devastated the city on 13th & 14th February 1945.
