Tropicaire Drive-In

The Tropicaire Drive-In opened in(1960’s?) in the Mount Isa suburb of Soliders Hill, and closed in(1985?). The drive-in was demolished around 1988, and is now a supermarket(First and Last), a sunglasses store(Bright Eyes), some houses, and possibly part of Gallipoli Park and part of Parkham Valley Road, and Moratai Street.

Opened in 1956 or 1957 or 1961 or later? Possibly Birch, Carroll & Coyle’s first drive-in theatre in Queensland. Also 300 seats for(walk-in patrons?).
