Masonic Hall

The Masonic Hall opened on 2nd June 1888. The first movie screenings in Carnarvon was season of Brete’s Pictures on 16th February 1909. Movie screenings ceased in(1915 or 1916?). The Masonic Hall later sold(1950’s or 1960’s?)(after the Masonic Hall moved to new location?), and became a parish hall for a church(anglican), and then the Rotary Club, and then a printers(Gascoyne Printers), and is now a newspaper office(Norther Guardian and Carnarvon Community News). The signs for the Masonic Hall and Parish Hall have been covered over. A mural was painted on the facade in 2000. The building was Heritage listed on 24th January 1996. The building is being restored.
