The Majestic Theatre opened on 26th May 1917 with “Intolerance”. The official opening was on 2nd June 1917. The building was originally Mckays Clothing Emporium. Screenings ceased in(1975?). After the building was sold, it become a hardware store(name unknown?), and then a discount store(Dollar Busters), and a milk bar(Majestic Milk Bar), and is now a shore(Rivers Clearance Store).
