Yes i remember you Brad you were ricks best friend.i forgot all about that pinto he had…lol if you are on face book look me up Bob Dearduff
@Chris – I knew you and your sister as well. Also, I’m pretty sure that’s Rick’s Pinto in the pick. Cool.
@bobcat – Do you remember Brad Denney? Worked with your brother Rick, when both Marty Carr and Jack Kranig were the managers. I was the assistant manager for most of my years there. Started at Esquire in 1979 and was there until 1983. Long run. I remember your mom, Theresa, your little sister, Mike, Ron, and even your dad from time to time. I cannot list all of the people who worked at the cinema while I was there, but some of them were David Brinkman, Jeff Richards, Bobby Rickles, Nikki Gentry, and many others. It was a great time for sure. Didn’t know that even Bobby joined the ranks of popcorn poppin, pink lemonade pourin, candy bar damagin' cinema staff.
Regarding Esquire Cinema history, I still have my badges and the original Hokey (push sweeper) from that day. Amazing.
Picture from 1980 can be found at:

Yes, I will always remember seeing HALLOWEEN there
The address for the Esquire is 8335 Pendleton Pike, Indianapolis, In. Opened as the Jerry Lewis Cinema on April 19, 1972. Changed to the Esquire Cinema on May 23, 1973.
I worked there from 1982-84 during high school (what GREAT memories!) Surprised to see this listing on the internet. Looking for others who worked there (Denise Rapp, Rodney Luke, Tony Ross, Bob, Lisa Betts.. I know there are more! Where are you?) Chris LeMasters
Grand memories can be made at even a not-so-grand theater. My memory was seeing “Gone With the Wind” at the Esquire in 1974. The Esquire wasn’t much but Tara was still Tara!
