Open Air Pictures

Located on the northwest corner of Denton Street and Waddington-Wongan Hills Road. Piawaning Hall opened in 1924. Movies were screened in the open air on the back wall of the hall from(1930’s?) to(1950’s?). The hall was used as a school(Piawaning School) from 1928 to 1955 or 1956. A new hall was built beside the old hall and opened in April 1959. The old hall continued as a school until 16th November 1977. Unknown if movies were ever screened inside the old or new halls. The new hall is still there, but no longer screens movies. Unknown if the old hall is still there?
