… Spontaneous combustion in paint supplies was blamed for a fire which destroyed the screen and several rows of seats in the Gaelic theater, 2425 W. 47th st., with damage estimated at $1,000.

Just went by today the buld. is still standing in fact it is of all things, an auto parts store if you stand across the street you can see the out line of a theatre and where a sign would be and a box office. But as i have said before it is still standing and it is now being used as an auto parts store the area around 47th and Western is more Mexican then Irish now. The buld. is a little brown or rust colored if you are not looking for the address you will walk right past it. I am glad that it is still standing and the bulding is serving the community. Thank you for your time :)

I believe the building,though very rundown, was still in existence as a commercial property 5 or 6 years ago.Minus the marquee of course. Very Sad.
