Located on the Northeast corner of the Public Square was the silent-era photoplay house, the Royal Theatre. It’s main advertising claim is its $1,500 Wurlitzer PionOrchestra and Mandolin Sextet. The Royal Theatre appears to have opened May 28, 1907 and closed May 23, 1920.
