Derby Cinema

The Derby Electric Palace was opened in 1911. It was operated by Dewhurst & Dewhurst. Around 1930 it was equipped with a British Talking Pictures(BTP) sound system and was re-named Derby Cinema. It was demolished in 1937.

The Tivoli Cinema was built on the site, opening 28th February 1938 (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures.)
