This single screen theatre was on the ground floor of small building that looks more like a log cabin than anything else. Cinema II opened January 10, 1973 with Charles Bronson in “The Valachi Papers”. It was the Cinema II to differentiate itself from the Cinema in Corte Madera which once commanded exclusivity from all other theatres in Marin County. It was closed in 1989.
Now operating as a church.

This opened on January 10th, 1973. Grand opening ad posted. The ad gives the address as 5400 Ridgewood Highway.
Do you mean Redwood Highway? That was the “locals” name for Hwy 101.
