Located in the town of Currie on King Island which is in Bass Strait between Tasmania and Victoria, it is part of Tasmania. Opened as a Public Hall in 1916. It began screening films in 1940. The Currie Cinema was opened by 1951 when it was operated by M. Gatenby. It was still open in 1960, but had closed by 1968. Unknown if the building is still there? No other information known?

Address is George Street. Building opened in 1916(as a public hall). Movie screenings started in 1940. 300 seats.
