The Larksville Theatre was opened in 1937 by Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Emashowski. They closed in it August 12, 1940 when they opened their New Larksville Theatre on W. Luzerne Avenue. Two and a half years later, that ‘New’ theatre was destroyed when in collapsed into a sinkhole.
