The Cupid Theater opened in 1910, located in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on W. Madison Street near Karlov Avenue. It could seat 300. The theater closed in 1913. Later, the building was home to a shoe store from the 1920’s into the 1960’s. Today, it houses a tax service.

Guess the difference his customers noted in January of 1913 didn’t last the year. Click full screen to see the Cupid’s owner’s quote. (I regret finding that link, cause now we’ll have to cross reference all those theatre’s with CT to insure they have pages.)
