Built in 1976, the Centennial Theatre is Sheridan’s only cinema. According to a newspaper article when it opened, “…it had two screens and an old-school film projector from the 1950’s. Today, Centennial Theatres is much different. It features six screens with new-age digital projection, a huge transition to a technology that threatened to destroy independent theaters across the nation…”

Boxoffice, March 8, 1976: “Mr. and Mrs. Ross Campbell hosted a champagne opening of their new Centennial Twin Theatre in Sheridan, Wyo. The facility is located at 36 East Alger Ave. and the Campbells will continue to operate the downtown Wyo Theatre as well as the drive-in.”
