The Colgate Theatre was one of three movie theatres along Dundalk Avenue, and opened in late 1948. It survived into 1956 as a movie theatre, and appears to be in good condition today, although the graffiti artists have started there work on the walls. For many years a $3,000 Jackpot sign ws sported on the Colgate’s marquee. No longer showing movies the Colgate is now a bingo hall.
