The Hilton Theatre opened in 1911 and closed in 1917 to become a garage. It was rebuilt as a movie theatre in 1941 and closed again in 1951. It was situated right next door to the Windsor Theatre and across the street from the Walbrook Theatre. Too many theatres in one block for all to survive. Both the Hilton and Windsor Theatres are in good shape and have been reused as shops.
The former Hilton Theatre was repainted in 2003 but you can still see the vertical marquee supports on the roof of the old theatre.
