This opened as a twin cinema by Irvin-Fuller Theatres on February 15th, 1973. It expanded to 3 screens opening on May 20th, 1983. It was sold to Roth Theatres in 1984 and closed down in 1997 before the new General Cinemas location opened elsewhere in the mall.

Grand opening ads in the photo section.
Mike, I see it from your ads that this was opened as an UltraVision twin. Do you know if it was really expanded to four or did they just split the twins?
I used to work at this theatre. It started out as a twin. The left auditorium was left as a single, the right auditorium was split into two auditoriums. It remained a three screen theatre until it’s demolition.
Thank you. The header should be changed to three screens and the narrative of the overview changed to show this was expanded to a triple. The grand reopening ad that Mike posted shows it with three features.
Mar312, I managed an UltraVision twin for Georgia Theater Company. They were fine looking theaters with a beautiful picture on the big curved screens. Unfortunately the UltraVision shape made them perfect candidates to be twinned. When it came time for my theater, I suggested that they do what was done here, leave one side intact. No such luck.
