Die Burg Ravensburg

Opened 1938 as the single-screen cinema “Burgtheater” by Willi Burth. It was rebuilt numerous times with addition of more screens.

Since 2001, the multiplex has 8 screens: Kino 1 (297 seats), Kino 2 (153 seats), Kino 3 (63 seats), Kino 4 (52 seats), Kino 5 (194 seats), Kino 6 (184 seats), Kino 7 (425 seats with a 100 m² screen, the largest in Ravensburg), Kino 8 (83 seats).

The foyers feature the “Willi Burth Museum”, a permanent exhibition on the life and the cinematic inventions of Willi Burth, winner of an Scientific and Engineering Award of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 1987 for his invention of a non-rewind projection system, the “Filmteller”.
