Cinema

Located in Attleborough, Norfolk. The former Corn Exchange built in 1863, was converted into a cinema in the late-1920’s. By 1934, known as the Cinema, it was equipped with a Morrison sound system and had 250 seats. In 1938 it was taken over by the Bostock Cinema Circuit and the seating capacity was increased to 258. It was re-named Regal Cinema. The Cinema was closed in 1959.

By 1980 the building was in use as a television repair shop. By 2017 the building is in use as an Indian restaurant named Spice.

Norfolk at the Pictures suggests the hall was used by the Eastern Counties Cinema Company who screened films here from 1919. It was renamed the Regal after the Bostock circuit acquired it in 1938. They pulled out in 1959.
