The Ellison Picture House was opened around 1st October 1919 and run by Bourke family. It is last listed in the Kine Year Books in 1939 the year the family opened the County Cinema. An Ulster Bank now occupies the site.

According to the press this cinema was expected to be open by 1 October 1919 the same year Charlie Chaplin paid a visit.
