The Drive-In was opened on N. Lafayette Street at E. Haythorne Avenue on May 22, 1948 with Randolph Scott in “Gun Fighters”. It was operated by Herbert Ochs. By 1950 it was renamed Terre Haute Drive-In when it was operated by T. Mendelssohn. By 1952 it was operated by M.W. & M Enterprises & United Film Booking Sevices. By 1955 they had renamed it North Drive-In. It was refurbished and reopened April 7, 1969 with Christopher George in “The Devil’s 8”.

This is a duplicate page. There is already a North Drive-In for Terre Haute, IN listed.

There were two North Drive-In’s. This one at 3100 N Fayette Street which became the North Drive-In by 1955. The other at 4989 N. Lafayette Street which became the North Drive-In in 1975 (and has its own page on Cinema Treasures).

Pretty much a forest next to a lake, no real trace of this one left. Screen is still at the other one further north though.
